Michael Douglas Jones, age 61 of Rowlett, TX, passed away March 7, 2014. He was born December 27, 1952, in Joplin, MO, to Harold W. and Betty (Payne) Jones. Michael was a member of Lake Pointe Church where he was part of the Media Team. He was a devoted family man, known as “Pops” to his granddaughters.  Michael enjoyed spending time with his family, especially to do anything outdoors including fishing, hunting, boating and riding his motorcycle.  He was dearly loved and will be missed.

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 36 years: Sherri Jones of Rowlett, TX; daughter: Lindsey Knight and husband Austin, and son: Chris Jones and wife Crystal all of McKinney, TX; brother: Doug Jones and wife Danielle of Fort Wayne, IN; sister: Barbara Keesee of Dallas, TX; granddaughters: Camdyn and Colbie Jones and Harper Knight.

Funeral services will be held 10:00am Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Lake Pointe Church Room A-114 with Pastor Bob Parks officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel Monday from 6:00 to 8:00pm.
