Steve Clark, age 62, died peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015, in Nacogdoches, Texas, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on Dec. 22, 1952, to Jacqueline Kearby and Richard Clark in Oklahoma City, Okla. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Dallas, Texas, and joined the United States Army in 1973. After basic training, Steve was designated by the Seventh United States Army Non-Commissioned Officers Academy as a distinguished graduate. He was awarded recipient of the Commander in Chief United States Army Europe, Seventh Army Award and winner of the General George S. Patton Award for Excellence. He was named No. 1 in academy. His additional recognitions include National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, 2D Award, Expert Rifle, Expert Hand Grenade, and he was ultimately discharged with honors in 1978. He received a Bachelor of Science in aviation management in 1978 from The American International University in Pasadena, Calif. His official transcript at Embry-Riddle/Cameron University credits him with 45 hours from 1975 to 1977. The United States Army Academy Flight Operation credits him with 30 hours. In 1996, Steve was inducted in the International Order of Phi Theta Kappa Society. In 1997, Steve received an Associate of Science degree in pre-medical, summa cum laude, along with an associate degree in biology, summa cum laude. Steve successfully completed a post graduate course of study and certificate of completion from Parker School for Professional Success in 1997. In 2000, he satisfied requirements for a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Parker College of Chiropractic. He was further recognized in 2001 with The Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners, as authorized and licensed to practice the art and science of chiropractic. He was additionally awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in anatomy from Parker College of Chiropractic in 2002. In 2002, Steve owned and operated a Chiropractic Clinic in Garland, Texas. After an introduction to the oil and gas industry in 2005, Steve relocated his family to Nacogdoches, Texas. Steve had a deep love for his family and friends. He was the best cook ever, bar none, and that was matched only by his wit and humor. Steve began piloting airplanes at age 16 and shared his love of the Lord in his church and prison ministries. Steve was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ. Steve is preceded in death by his father, Richard Clark. He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted and loving wife, Debora Yvette Holloway, whom he wed on Feb. 15, 1984. He is survived by loving daughters, Christy Clark Reyes and husband, Frankie, of Corpus Christi, Texas, Wendy Leighanne Clark of Keller, Texas, Steffanie Renee Stewart and husband, Neal, of Celina, Texas, and Demi Yvette Nugent and husband, Jake, of Nacogdoches, Texas; son, Steven Andrew Clark of Nacogdoches, Texas; mother, Jacqueline Kearby Clark of Oklahoma; and brothers, "Boots" Jack Clark of New York and John Clark of Yukon, Okla. He is also survived by grandchildren, Blake James, Emily Clark, Presly Stewart, Payton Miller, Stacey Clark, Kinley Stewart and baby Nugent; his mother-in-law, brothers and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
